The Ballad of the Worlds

Introduction

This ballad is a companion project to Jean’s recent book, Journey Into Deep Memory >>

Several mythologies describe in their origin stories, a series of worlds or epochs, that the human being has journeyed and evolved through. Several sources say that there are seven world times, and that we are now in the fifth. The Hopi world view is that we have passed through 4 worlds and are at the end of the fourth merging into the fifth.

Each world time began with a purity of purpose and consciousness. These themes run through many ancient myths, that at first all was new, flourishing, beautiful and promising, and then the people would slowly devolve into less consciousness. Lower human nature began to dominate until the overseers of Creation, or the gods, would bring about great destructions to cleanse and reset humanity on its ordained path.

This ballad is composed of five movements representing five world epochs, from genesis to the present/future.

To summarize these 5 worlds, that are reflected in the lyrics and the music itself:

The First world peoples were etheric, angelic, innocent, yet all-knowing children. They were self-less mirrors of the Creator, and were the first conscious embodiments of the Absolute Creator. A Hopi quote; They felt as one, people and animals, yet people began to divide and draw away. They could not host the spirit of the Creator and many forgot the plan of Creation. This world was destroyed by fire.

In the Second world they materialized further, and emerged to a big land, and multiplied. They were still as one, and could hear each other without speaking. They could also hear the Creator through the top of their heads. They developed homes and villages and traded amongst each other. But they too began to forget the plan of Creation and to stay connected to the Creator. This world was destroyed by ice.

Some myths of the Third world epoch refer to a long evolutionary shift from androgynous humans into the division of male and female, and this went hand in hand with creating civilizations of magnificence and power. There were massive creatures on the earth and strange genetic blends they called monsters.

The third race became tall with pride, we are the kings! it was said; we are the gods. ‘Those days of old when the gods walked the earth and mixed freely with the mortals’. However many of the people also disregarded the plan of creation and no longer heard the voice of the creator. They made war upon each other and this led to their world being inundated by water, and in another myth, it was subterranean fires.

The Fourth world people created cities and civilizations of astounding beauty and skill. They made conveyances to fly in the air. This was the world of the great works of stone, as they knew the power of anti-gravity or the night-side. They were gifted with ‘Manus’ or mind, by the infusion of divine attributes instilled into their genetics.

Yet again in their magnificent power, many became disconnected from the Creator, and felt they were the rulers of life. They destroyed their world by the mis-use of power, and this world succumbed to water, great floods inundating the earth. The secret teachings (Blavatsky), say, that the “Deluge” overtook the fourth giant race, not on account of their depravity, or because they had become black with sin, but simply because such is the fate of every continent, which, like everything else under the sun, is born, lives and becomes decrepit, and dies.

The Fifth world is the most recent emergence story mostly told. People had retreated deep into the earth, or in vessels to wait out the waters, then upon remerging from refuge, they crossed the seas to a new land. There they began the great migrations. These migrations peopled the land, and were deigned by the Creator to keep them awake to their spiritual identity, their identity as children of the One, conscious embodiments of God. This worlds destruction has been foretold in many traditions but has not yet occurred.

The fifth moving into the sixth world is upon us, where we must know who we really are . We must let go of all divisions in race, gender, hierarchy, religious judgement. We must be awake to the plan of Creation once and for all. The lyrics of the last movement are prophetic to the future of what we are and who we are becoming, strangely mirroring where we began.
