"First there must be order and harmony within your own mind. Then this order will spread to your family, then to the community, and finally to your entire kingdom. Only then can you have peace and harmony."      - Confucius

"The quieter you become, the more you can hear."     - Ram Dass

What is this retreat about?
The intention of this retreat is to bring together a small group of people for a quiet, contemplative weekend in a beautiful setting. During this time we will practice and experience meditation and yoga techniques that help to create balance in our lives. Through immersion in a retreat setting, where daily distractions are removed, we can begin to experience on a deeper level what yoga and meditation can do for us. Once we experience living peace we can begin to create it consciously in our every day lives. And once we have experienced a meaningful connection with yoga and mediation we are better able to sustain our own daily practice.

How will this happen?
Through silence - intentional speaking. Through simplicity - simple food, simple actions. Through direct experience of yoga and meditation. Through mindfulness - focusing on a meditative awareness through everything we're doing.
