I offer this book as a way-pointer
on the pilgrim’s trail,
a blaze on the tree, an inukshuk,
or simply a welcome arrow
painted on a board.

The mountain is rich in trails
winding their eventual way
into greater light and perspective.
I respect and honour all paths,
all teachers, avatars and way-pointers.
I place myself as a student of God
through all beings.

I am a way-pointer;
yet at times I am quite lost
and it is my child who is the way-pointer.
I am the channel for this book,
and yet I am the reader as well.

We are all beauty becoming aware of itself.
We are all God awakening to God,
truth becoming conscious of truth.
Grace is immeasurable, bountiful and
pervades all creation.
